Our story
A love beautifully written by God.
From a quiet beginning on 6 February 2023 to a breathtaking promise made on a rooftop in Singapore, our journey has been filled with peace, kindness, and grace. Here is how it unfolded.
6 February 2023
We met through a mutual friend who knew us both and felt we were a perfect match. I was in my last year at campus.— Faith
First impressions
I thought he had a very soft voice — it sounded so kind, and that's exactly what I was looking for in a man: God-fearing and kind.— Faith

Singapore
Two new people in a new environment, celebrating finding each other — Marina Bay Sands, Singapore seemed the perfect place to do it. So we did!
The turning point
Walking through the food court at Marina Bay Sands, with adoring glances and outright strangers unable to hold back from telling us how good we look together — we knew at that point there was no turning back.
Meeting the family
It's easy to love Jonathan, but I was caught by surprise at how easily I gelled with his mom. Hours spent doing life together with her have given me a background to the man who was to become my husband that I never would have achieved without Mrs Sebunya's exemplary life and time-worn words of admonition.— Faith
Meeting Faith's parents taught me how fiercely protective every parent should be when it comes to their daughter walking out of their lives and into the arms of a man she has chosen.— Jonathan
The proposal
Jonathan kept hinting about dinner somewhere special — I did not know that going up to the roof of Marina Bay Sands would end up being my favorite lifetime rooftop experience. I see myself telling my grandchildren about the hallowed moment that turned a photoshoot that was all about me into a ring upon my finger, as if to say: “you are the best moment my camera has ever captured.”— Faith
The season since
The vicissitudes of life merge well with Jonathan's daily admonition to me: that change is not the exception but the rule, and those who master the surf and high tides that come with living will finally reap the fruit of knowing — with heart and experience — that God is the Master of all waves, and knows how to bring them into submission to His will.— Faith

If kindness were a person, it would be Jonathan. He marshalled this overwhelming kindness around me, built a wall of love around me, fiercely drove chaos out of my life, and refused to stop intriguing me. Like an enigma, I simply can't get enough of him.— Faith
Our anchor
God is my refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble; therefore we will not fear though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.
